Redvesuvio, Naples IT 2009
Redvesuvio shot by Laurent Ajina in Naples

REDVESUVIO is a love story between an artist and a city. Naples was a visual shock, the revelation of an amazing architectural reality   and of its unique atmosphere. This short movie is a promenade in Naples put into parallel with my work as a visual artist. The drawing creates interference, as well as a dialogue with Naples urban reality and its indescribable beauty.

The realisation of short movies is a fully integrated part of Ajina’s work. Skilled observer: Laurent Ajina is constantly feeding his topographical memory, carefully selecting which images to engrave upon his mind. Infinitesimal details go unnoticed to passersby, but he sees them all. He has perfected the art of awareness, of seeing the unseen, of creating an innovative representation of the urban landscape.

REDVESUVIO has been presented at the Festival O’Curt 2010 at the Grenoble, French Institute in Naples.
